Summer Dance Specialty Class Descriptions:

30 minute Classes:  These focused 30-minute classes are designed specifically for dancers who want to sharpen their skills without burning out over the summer. Each session targets a specific area—like turns, leaps, flexibility, performance, or conditioning—giving dancers the opportunity to stay strong, refine technique, and explore new movement in a fast-paced, fun format. Think of them as your summer training toolbox—short, powerful, and packed with progress!

Combo Craze– Combines elements (turns, jumps, tricks) in exciting ways.

Freestyle Battleground- Structured improv in a friendly “battle” format to build musicality and courage.

Launch Lab- improve your leaps, jumps, and elevation! Dancers will drill technique, height, control, and safe landings while learning dynamic combinations that showcase power and precision

Limber Lab– Flexibility-focused class designed to improve back mobility and control. Dancers will safely work on bridges, backbends, scorpions, chest stands, back needles and more—all while building the strength needed to support deeper flexibility.

Perfect Pointe/ Ankle Artistry-  Helps dancers build the ankle flexibility, foot strength, and alignment needed for beautiful pointe work. Through resistance exercises, Theraband training, balance drills, and stretch work, dancers will strengthen from toe to calf while working toward clean relevés, stronger pointe technique, and better overall foot articulation.

Prop Choreography- Dancers learn combos using fans, chairs, hats, ribbons, etc. A fun twist on jazz or contemporary.

Tiny Tot Movement- Offers general physical movement and coordination exposure for students ages 18 months-36 months alongside their parent. The focus will be on learning basic gross motor skills and vocabulary through play, songs, games, and exploration. The class format will include circle time, station rotations, whole group games, and yoga. Parents will learn as much as the kids and the bonding experience will be absolutely memorable. This is a wonderful class to help understand your child's interest/ strength to establish future class placement. Two children may join with one adult.

Turn It Up -Turn Technique– Turn with power and precision! Dancers will work on spotting, core control, balance, and body alignment to improve everything from basic pirouettes to advanced turn sequences. Perfect for anyone wanting to refine their technique and build clean, consistent turns.

One Hour Classes: Our 1-hour dance classes are designed to provide well-rounded, engaging instruction that builds both skill and confidence. Each class includes a full warm-up, technical training, choreography, and cool-down, giving dancers time to grow in a focused and supportive environment.

BalletA theatrical art form using dancing, music, and scenery to convey a story, theme, or atmosphere. Conventional poses and steps are combined with light flowing figures (such as leaps and turns).

Cheerleading Classes- Tiny Star Cheerleading (ages 5-8 ) Perfect for our youngest spirit stars! This one-hour class introduces cheer basics in a fun, supportive environment. Dancers will learn simple chants, pom routines, beginner jumps, and teamwork—all while building confidence, coordination, and school spirit.

                          Power Star Cheerleading (ages 9+ )High-energy cheer combos, sharp motions, dynamic jumps, and beginner-to-intermediate stunting and tumbling skills. Dancers will focus on strength, timing, and performance while learning what it takes to lead the crowd and shine like a pro. Perfect for dancers ready to level up their cheer game!

Competition Prep/ Technique- This class is all about getting competition-ready! Dancers will focus on the essential technique needed for the upcoming season—including turns, leaps, transitions, control, and clean lines. With an emphasis on precision, strength, and consistency, this class helps dancers refine their skills and build the confidence they need to hit the stage strong. A perfect tune-up for competitive performers!

Contemporary– A mixture of dance genres– classical ballet, modern, lyrical, jazz that focuses on unexpected movements, self-expression, freedom paired with a strong focus on technique.

Dance Athlete Training- Designed for serious dancers who want to train like athletes, this class focuses on building the strength, endurance, agility, and flexibility needed to power elite performance. Through targeted conditioning, core work, balance drills, and injury-prevention exercises, dancers will enhance their physical abilities and overall technique

Flip Force- Get ready to jump, tumble, and groove! Flip Force is the ultimate high-energy boys’ class that blends the strength and agility of gymnastics with the rhythm and style of dance. From cartwheels and flips to hip hop combos and obstacle course challenges, this class is packed with action and fun. Whether your child is a first-timer or a seasoned mover, Flip Force builds confidence, coordination, and teamwork in an upbeat, all-boys environment. Let’s flip, fly, and have a blast this summer!

Hip HopThis class teaches a vibrant form of dance that combines a variety of freestyle movements to create a cultural piece of art. Exposure to popping, locking, and breaking as well as grooves and polyrhythmic movement.

Jazz- This upbeat and expressive class blends strong technique with bold movement and dynamic choreography. Dancers will focus on turns, kicks, jumps, and stylized combos set to energetic music, all while building confidence, flexibility, and performance skills. Jazz is a studio favorite that brings power, precision, and personality to every step!

Jazz Funk- A high-energy fusion of jazz technique and hip hop style! This class focuses on sharp movements, musicality, and performance with attitude. Perfect for dancers who love to move with confidence and flair.

Pointe– Classical ballet technique that concerns pointe work, ballet dancers supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet. Instructor will recommend when your dancer is ready for pointe work.

Strength and Stretch Labs This class strengthens your dancers flexibility– one of the most important aspects of dance. It is also paired with conditioning exercises to increase dancers stamina and fitness. Need Ankle Weights/Yoga Blocks/ Stretchy Bands

Summer Fun Variety Class- Each week students will dance, act, sing ,and play!  Students will have opportunities to engage in themed classes such as island/ ocean, vehicles, superhero,  fairy tales, and more! Dance routines, guided imaginative play, songs, and acting activities will surround the weekly theme. Come join us for an all around silly time!

Tap DanceThis class teaches a variety of steps that focus on timing, musicality, and rhythm. Warm-up, across-the-floor progressions, and center combinations.

Tumbling– Class involves performance of exercises requiring physical strength, agility, and coordination. Flexibility and floorwork include skills based on level.

Video Vibes– Class that rehearses a combo and records a mock music video at the end of summer.
